SI-TUFF™ improves a wide range of properties such as modulus (tensile, compressive and flexural), hardness, total toughness, wear and abrasion resistance, fracture toughness, and crack resistance. Most materials reinforced with SI-TUFF™ can withstand much higher stresses and loads. Other mechanical effects you will see is lower net deflection and elongation at yield or failure. In addition, higher loadings of SI-TUFF™ will reduce ductility.

SI-TUFF™ fibers and microfibers do not raise the viscosity like other additives. SI-TUFF™ aligns in the direction of flow, thereby keeping the viscosity increase under control. This effect allows higher solids levels as well.
